The SIHI SuperNova series are part of the overall program of heat transfer and circulation pumps. They are primarily used for circulation of hot water in closed pipe and vessel systems.
Horizontal, single-stage volute pumps with dimensions and nominal ratings to DIN 24256 EN 22858 in back pull out construction, with un-cooled mechanical seal. The SIHI SuperNova series has especially been designed for the trouble free handling of hot water up to 446 °F.

The ZTND Line is a specialty line of pumps specifically designed to handle hot thermal fluids. Pumps are available in 24 models with only two shaft sizes.
SIHI’s ZTND designs use a dual heat restricting design allowing the pumping of thermal fluids to 650+ °F. Engineered to allow ambient air cooling while minimizing thermal transfer along the shaft, they offer safety and efficiency, eliminating any need for liquid cooling through their operating range.
SIHI designers, using state of the art thermal modeling techniques, were able to create a unique rear cover and shaft housing which provides for thermal expansion compensation for the shaft seals and limits heat transfer along the shaft and housing to the grease lubricated bearing.
Shaft sealing is provided by either a set of v-ring lip seals (to minimize the possibility of catastrophic shaft seal failures) or single non-cooled mechanical seal.
Volute pumps of the series ZTN have been specially developed for handling of mineral and synthetic heat transfer oils. The pumps may be used in installations with positive or negative suction pressure. This special version, ZTNY, has a volute casing with flange rating to 40 bar (580 psig). The larger diameter flange size and flange thickness will meet your customer’s requirements for higher rated flanges suitable for ANSI class 300 RF piping for thermal oil systems.
